8 September 2020: The Board Members of Association of Private Hospital Malaysia APHM had a close door meeting with YB Dato Sri Adham bin Baba and Deputy Minister of Health YB Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang.
We discussed in depth on Public Private partnership and the possibility of forming a Conjoint Task Group to get this partnership done. This is to make sure the partnership will be beneficial to all parties particularly to the patients.
The other topics were on Investment tax allowance (ITA) , Drug Price Control, Regulatory Issues with Private Hospitals and Digitalisation of Healthcare. We are looking forward for smaller discussions on these topics and both the YBs have committed to get these issues sorted out. We also hope East Malaysia states will have special immigration permission to the Peninsular Doctors to work in Private Healthcare Centres in Sarawak. APHM will conduct follow up meetings the Ministry of Health.
