I participated in a productive panel discussion at the Association of Specialist in Private Medical Practice in Malaysia regarding the future charge schedule for private specialists. We were joined by Dr. Namazie, who was involved in the MMA fee schedule, Dr. Harshinderjeet Singh of the Ministry of Health, who predominantly deals with private fees, and Dr. Sng, who moderated the session.

Y.Bhg. Tan Sri Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah, the previous Director General of Health, provided us with an overview of the existing healthcare system, which is in need of improvement and is still one of the best in the region in many respects, prior to the panel.
