Datuk Dr. Kuljit Singh, President of APHM, welcomed delegates to the 32nd APHM International Healthcare Conference 2026 in Kuala Lumpur.
He outlined ongoing challenges: an aging population, rising non-communicable diseases, workforce sustainability, and rising healthcare costs. Emphasizing the theme “From Volume to Value,” he advocated for improving healthcare performance, public-private partnerships, and greater flexibility for specialists.
APHM introduced a Pharmacy Chapter and unveiled a revised Nursing Chapter logo. He encouraged greater collaboration, efficient licensing, and innovation, highlighting 2026 as Malaysia’s Year of Medical Tourism. Dr. Kuljit urged all to deliver meaningful value and measurable improvement for patients.
