WE in MMA had gained a lot from the discussion with MOH way back in 2004. House officers received RM100 per day call and specialist had expressed promotion to U54 as soon as they had qualified as specialist. The entire promotion exercise got enhanced and the numbers of govt doctors stayed back in service increased. The fruit of the exercise was seen later during the leadership of the next Director General.
