Discussion with YB DATO’ SRI MUSTAPA BIN MOHAMED on Private Healthcare Economics

22 December 2020: Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia APHM had the second opportunity to meet YB Dato Sri Mustapa bin Mohamed, Minister in Prime Minster’s Department in charge of Economy. Our one hour discussion with him was fruitful as we could explain the details of the business structure of private hospitals.

We enumerated the economic benefits the country gained in the past from private healthcare which lessened the burden of the public healthcare and increasing foreign exchange with medical tourism.

We are looking forward to partner and join venture with the public sector to further strengthen our collaborative effort and provide better healthcare to our citizens. Meanwhile we hope the sustainability of our business is protected. This will help us progress further in providing accessibility to healthcare and increasing the country’s income.
