Founded in 1929, the International Hospital Federation unites hospital leaders globally, promoting collaboration, standards, education, advocacy and innovation to strengthen health system leadership and improve patient care. It afforded me the chance to reconnect with many prominent hospital leaders worldwide.

I also visited the International Committee of the Red Cross headquarters in Geneva.
