Tun Dr Siti Hasmah will be remembered not only for her service, but for her enduring compassion and commitment to preventive healthcare. She reminded us that early screening and timely treatment can save lives, and encouraged everyone to take responsibility for their health before illness becomes severe.

Her advice to healthcare providers was equally meaningful: while we care diligently for others, we must also remember to care for ourselves. She believed that we can serve our patients best when we protect our own wellbeing and continue our duties with compassion, dedication, and integrity.

We will also cherish the warm memory of her playing the piano in the lobby of Prince Court Medical Centre whenever she visited. She believed that music is a good therapy, and through those gentle moments, she brought comfort and humanity to all around her.
