Dr. Rabindra Abeyasinghe, the World Health Organization (WHO) Representative to Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, and Singapore, currently heads the WHO Country Office in Malaysia.
We were honored to welcome Dr. Abeyasinghe as a speaker at last week's 31st International Healthcare Exhibition and Conference, organized by the Association of Private Hospitals Malaysia.
The WHO recognizes that private hospitals are essential partners in national health systems. Properly regulated, they help advance universal health coverage by increasing service capacity, easing the burden on public hospitals, providing quicker access to specialized care, and fostering medical innovation.
