Datuk Dr. Kuljit Singh warmly welcomed delegates to the 32nd APHM International Healthcare Conference & Exhibition 2026 nursing conference, highlighting nurses as the backbone of Malaysia’s healthcare system.
He acknowledged both the immense challenges nurses face—such as heavy workloads, staff shortages, workplace violence, and the demands of new technology—and their continued dedication, compassion, and professionalism. He stressed the need for better support, career development, competitive benefits, and investment in nurses, aligning with WHO priorities.
