It was an honour to attend the memoir launch of Tan Sri Dr Yahya Awang and to witness his conferment of a Doctor of Laws (honoris causa) from Monash University. I’m pleased to have a personal copy of the memoir and to have enjoyed a photo opportunity with Puan Sri Dr Suraiya Hani Tun Hussein.
Tan Sri’s distinguished service as a visiting cardiothoracic surgeon at Prince Court Medical Centre (2016–2018) left a lasting impression on many of us, and I fondly recall the social events he attended.
Heartfelt congratulations on the recognition of a remarkable career.
