Robotics in Surgery

Robotic Surgery has been in existence since the last 20 years. Its has made a huge difference in surgical outcomes but the cost remains to be unaffordable to many in the world. I attended a discussion session in Concorde Hospital Singapore with Dr Warner Huh from Alabama USA. We exchanged ideas and thoughts on how robotic surgery can be made available and affordable to more patients. The cost of robotic surgeries are not reimbursed by most insurances world wide but it is probable that the cost will be cheaper in the next few years. More specialities are now performing surgeries with robots.

This discussion was attended with Dato Dr Badrul [orthopedic] and HOD Surgical of my hospital.L1050653
